The Estate
Tenuta Colle Sala is located in the heart of the Sabina region, around 30km from Rome.
The Estate is immersed in 100 hectares of uncontaminated land including a 400 tree olive grove, a vast forest and is passed through by the river Aia, tributary of the Tiber.
Since the 14° century the Estate was one of the many properties owned by the Micara family. The lands were primarily used as hunting ground and for the production the “Sabina” Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Famous for its distinctive flavour and unique taste.
Following the strong passion for horses, in 1998 the family dedicated a part of the Estate to the breeding of pure blood polo ponies. The only certified polo pony breeder in Italy. Some of the horses from the Estates touched the highest peaks in the sport, participating in the Abierto tournament in Palermo, Buenos Aires.
The property was recently renovated by Italian leading architect Enrico Carlo Saraceni with the objective of creating a luxurious location surrounded by exceptional natural beauty.
