It’s hard to know where to begin. This place was perfect for my family. Allessandra is a wonderful host. On our arrival we were greeted with wine, a cold pasta and tomato salad and a tray of eggplant parmigiana “to heat up later when you get hungry.” She and her husband met with me and showed us how everything works, from the oven to the pool lights. Allessandra responded quickly when we had questions or a problem and she has very friendly and competent local people to take care of things. This is a large property and though it’s only an hour and a quarter from Rome it is Country, with a capital C. The last 3 km of your trip is a winding steep single track road where the only traffic you’re likely to encounter is a farmer herding his sheep from one field to another. The views are magnificent. None of the beautiful pictures prepare you for how grand it is. The main house is on a hilltop overlooking a valley of woods and pastures and on the opposing hills and mountains in the distance ...

We had a really lovely and relaxing stay. The views from the terraces and the pool are stunning. The children enjoyed the swimming pool and we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the great weather (cooler than Rome in the summer). The scenery around the house is breath taking and provide instant relaxation. If you are looking to get away from it all but still be able to do day trips to Rome and small beautiful Italian villages, this is the place for you. Lots of room in the main house and the guest house, lots of bathrooms and the kitchen had everything you need to do your own cooking. The fruit trees in the garden were also amazing with lots of ripe plums ready to eat. There are lots of short half day or day trips and great restaurants wishing 15 - 20 minutes of the location, otherwise Francesca made delicious meals (must do). Alessandra and Paolo who hosted us were very welcoming. And made us feel like their guests. We would definitely come back.
